USES & BENEFITS OF CORN OR MAIZE GLUTEN
Corn gluten’s protein is known for its high content of methionine and cysteine amino acids, which are very important for farm animals and poultry, as well as its rich complex of microelements and vitamins Е, В1, В2, В3, В4, В5 and В6.
The undisputed advantage of corn gluten meal for egg and poultry producers is its high content of carotenoids and natural xanthophyll pigment. Even a small amount of corn gluten added to a recipe results in a rich yellow colour of a yolk, adds bright yellow or golden yellow tint to the skin of a carcass, and significantly increases the carotenoid content.
Our Corn Gluten is widely used for cattle. Because of complex digestive system cattle can thrive on feeds relatively rich in fiber content and are less demanding of the quality of protein feed.
Corn gluten, a product once used only to supplement farm-animal feed and pet food, is presently used as a completely chemical-free, natural and inexpensive product with which to control weeds. It contains no contaminants that can seep into the ground water and helps to stop weeds like crabgrass, dandelions, smartweed and purslane before they take root.
